Review:
This book is set in 1939, just before the war about a girl named Tally. She is sent to boarding school by her father so she doesn't get sent away if they get bombed.
Once at Delderton hall she loves that there are no uniforms, fun classes and making new friends like Julia Barney, Tod, Kit and even teachers like Magda and Matteo. But now she has never missed her dad and aunts more.
The adventure begins when some Delderton students are invited to a folk dancing festival on Bergania, a foreign country.
Things go wrong when the King of Bergania is assassinated by some German soldiers in order to seize Bergania. these soldiers are now after the rightful heir to the Berganian throne. Prince Karil. Prince Karil has befriended Tally and the Delderton gang, who are now trying to smuggle Karil out of Bergania across 2 countries, across the English Channel and into England. To Delderton.
Recommendation:
I recommend this book for girls and boys between the ages of 10-12 years old who love adventure books that have twists around every corner.
